Howdi,

Today I noticed some oil or fluid coming from the cable that leeds from the rev gauge to the engine. This fluid is building up on the outside of the cable and I don't know what it is, any ideas.

Also tonight is the 1st time that the light in the rev guage isn't working. Are these things linked or a coincidence?

-btw how hard or easy is it to change the bulb?

Great news! I just saved a bundle on car insurance by switching to a motorcycle!

my guess is that it's lubricant inside the TACHOMETER cable to keep everything spinning instead of burning. you might want to make sure all the connections on it are tight.

that's my best guess.

say it with me now. TACHOMETER.
If you think you can, don't. Many things start with "I think I can," and end with "Ow!"

Just a little oil slipping past the seal, nothing to worry about. Just tighten it up. And it's coincidental.
