have you guys tried painting the fenders or the tank.  Mine is an ugly turquoise and i wanna change it.  Im pretty good with spray paint.  What are some tips or articles youve  seen about painting your gs.

I think my bike is the same ugly color and I'm considering painting it black, I'd be interested in the amout of work/difficulty too...

do it right the first time

i tried using rattle can paint to cover up some damage,  didn't touch it for weeks to make sure all was good but as soon as i used my tank bag once, i had a nice grid pattern on my tank

i recently sanded and repainted with real auto paint with a HVLP sprayer, didn't turn out perfect but pretty damed nice

someone on this site once said that a OK HVLP job is better than the best rattle can job, and that is the truth

ask around, some one may have a HVLP sprayer,

paint cost me about 100 bucks for primer, paint and clearcoat as well as the other parts that you mix with it

another option is the preval canisters with real paint,  still better than rattle can paint

this is from experience of my own

as soon as the film is developed i'll post a picture
