Ok, so how do you lift the seat to access the small "trunk" or whatever it's called. This is not a joke, I don't know how to do it... I've lifted it slightly and caught a glimpse of something that looks like a small toolbox.

use your key in the side of the seat.

Not in the side of your seat, that'll tear the cover!

There should be a cylinder just aft of the left passenger footpeg, that is the where the key unlocks the seat, and that's all it does.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

good judgement trumps good skills every time.

Careful, on most bikes you need to push down slightly on the seat to get the key to turn.  I've heard of people breaking their key off trying to turn it w/out pushing down!

Great news! I just saved a bundle on car insurance by switching to a motorcycle!

take heed to richards warning! I didn't snap my key off but I did bend it reallll good. It was so bad I needed to hitch a ride home to get the spare just to start the bike  :x
