Athens GA to Westminster MD ride next month

A buddy and I are taking a ride up to MD. I"ve made several 300 mile rides but nothing this long. We are avoiding all interstates and plan on heading up to Virginia Beach to camp out. We'll probably stop somewhere before then.

Anybody who travels this area regularly give me some ideas on where to stop, what to see. We have no agenda other than riding. And a few beers at the end of the day.

PS: I recently asked about some stuck bolts and the Sears/Craftsman bolt-on extractors worked wonderfully. Got my filters and fluids changed. Just waiting on a new drain plug.

I can hook you up with some of the best twisties/farm roads near Westminster if you're looking for fun riding nearby once you arrive...there are lots of fantastic little roads through horse farms, countryside etc. Great scenery, good pavement, almost no cars and fun as hell to ride.  And if you come into Baltimore (You should if you're in Westminster, it's only 30 minutes.) I definitely know where they keep the beer! (I live in Baltimore City) E-mail if you want specific suggestions/directions.
