This weekend I am putting a new exhaust on my 2001 GS, I got the Vance and Hines, and the Factory Pro 10 jetkit.  I already have a K&N air filter and just plan on taking off the restrictor.  I ordered my repair manual from the site but of course it hasn't showed up yet.  I am having some doods help me and have printed out all the rejetting pictorials I have found from querying this site.  Is there any other suggestions or things that I should know?   :dunno:
Will putting on the new full exhaust be fairly straight forward?   :o   I'm pretty skerd about all this, but really want to learn how to fix my bike.  I will have my mechanically inclined bf helping me, but I don't want to have the GS out of commision because I'm a dumbass.  Should I be able to accomplish this all in a day?

Thanks in adavance.
My nuts seem to be getting smaller.

There isn't to much to be afraid of. Installing the exhaust will be the easy part. As far as the jet kit goes, the process of actually installing the parts will be a peice of cake. The hard part is getting the jetting correct for your motorcyle. If you are lucky enough to get it right on the first shot, good for you! Good luck!!
