:dunno:  Hi everyone! I am new to GStwins and very glad I stumbled accross the site. I seem to have a problem.....or I am as stupid as the guy who did a hit and run on me the other day! I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction in regards to getting my front end sorted out. As mentioned I was the victom of a hit and run and in the process my little girl took some damage to her forks. I can't determine if the forks are bent or if the fork clamps are now just out of line. this is causing me to ride like a crab (which is not fun at the moment) where would I start looking for replacement forks and is there a betterway to determine if the forks are bent or not? My baby girl and I would appreciate any information that you could spare.

Just for starters, try the feedback in this thread: how to straighten out twisted forks?

Let us know what you find out.

had a look at that message, I think that is spot on! it is definitly a case when viewing it from the top it is defintly the top clamp that seems to be out of line. i will take the repair manual and see if I can straighten it out.

Many thanks for that....I will let you know what result I get as soon as I have the right tools to start the job.
