"Detailed instructions with pictures" in Onlypastrana's message-where is it ? which site?
see the first reply
If you dont feel up to doing the work yourself a good Machine-shop could do that mod in seconds using a Vertical mill and a rotary-table. The slot radius and 5deg advance would be spot-on relative to the center of the plate and it would be far more accurate than doing it by hand with a file.
is it worth doing? i mean what are the side effects?
Here is BobB's post from November 25, 2004....

I cannot speak for him if he still mods them but it is worth contacting him.

It is the underline link above from the "Modifications" link on the home page of this site.
Can someone explain what the difference is between the standard and the Vance and Hines advancer? Looking at it my guess is the tang on the flat disc that triggers the pick-ups is in a slightly different position relative to the keyway, or vice versa. I dont think The V+H advancer would be to difficult to make if there was a sample one to work to. It may even be possible to make it adjustable by allowing the plate to move axially and coming up with a way of locking it in the optimum postion like a vernier timing-gear.
the engi is 01 so how mush degree it should be 12 or 5?

See the box above all the typing tha says search?????? Try using it.. type in and oh great search returns you with answers like Jetting Type that in and see what pops up... Type in Tard see what pops up type in middle east see what pops up... its called search for a reason Most of these questions have been answerd probably about 4 or five times. But new people insist that if the answer isn't on the first page its not on here. People just get tired of typing the same things over and over... Do you understand now ?? It will find the words your looking for and give you about 5-25 posts already on that topic. and then read threw those if it doesn't answer your question then ask a question at the end of one of those posts and people may understand that you have read all those pages and then try and help you from there.
