Pablo, you'd love to come to my local track, it's so tight you can hear the facker squeek! Liter bikes are at a disadvantage. (Just too much POWA)
The R1 looks like he's target fixating on you in that pic. And he's nowhere near as committed in that corner as you are.
that corner opens up to the longest straight of the track, the "drag strip" which is about 3/4 mile long and dumps you into what is usually a sweeper but with this configuration I was hitting 150+, the liters were 165+ going into the sweeper, which at that speed is a serious turn...he was just waiting for it to straighten up....
He also didn't know the track very well...hard to commit yourself.
no, no, this is a different trackday and a different R1 rider...I couldnt keep pace with him!
oh haha...I lose 10 cool points.
So just how many track days are you up to per year now, Pablo? :thumb:

That makes it negative 324, if you're scoring at home (or even if you're alone).
Nice pics, Pablo. Do you ever get tired of Buttonwillow?

thanks. no. I L-O-V-E buttonwillow. Its also more interesting because they occasionally run different configurations. This time out they ran the AFM config, which is #23 I think (also ran in reverse direction-CCW). In this configuration the "drag strip" was new...
Hey pablo you see this guy?

Buttonwillow was apparently very popular that weekend...
The dude that crashed has the worst body postion
He looks like a fricken board strapped to the bike, hang off my brothern and the corners are meuch easier to take
I dont remember those bikes, except the RC51 behind the ZX. that guy was pitted near me-you couldnt miss those bright yellow dymag wheels! I'd remember a ZX of that vintage.
They look like C group, no? Thats the novice group.
You know these guys? Are they from TX? Hope they had a good time. That R1 doesnt look too bad really. Whats that graffiti in blue on the bodywork say?
Folks from a bout 8 different forums I surf had gone that day...these guys were from www.supraforums.com (first bunch of pics) and from www.rx7club.com. No one else took pics. A few people recognized your leathers, though.

He did more damage to his pride than anything else.

hard to miss...they still look very bright and new...
Oh and I think the jibberish on the side says "wild styles" or something to taht extent.
Mikey wants his $10
mikey got his $10 that day...
oh hahah What was that about?
he let me borrow $10 so I could buy a raffle ticket-which won me the custom kushitani suit!
hahah I'd be hunting my $10 too lol
took a year to return...almost to the day. Never see him except at trackdays and he's not been to many this past year...
at least he wasnt hunting down the suit!
yeah that's gotta burn just a little bit...like loaning a dollar to the next lootery winner.
Can Mikey lend me $20.....there's a Helimot's raffle happening, and I'd LOVE to win a custom suit, too! :icon_mrgreen:
