What's wrong with the Honda 599 or 919?  Available in America, can be found cheap used because it is unpopular here.  (At least in my neck of the woods)

Oh yeah it's a Cagiva X Raptor. Thanks to Suzuki they wouldn't let Cagiva Import them into the States because of Competition with the SV's.

More likely, the $15,928.77 USD price tag kept Cagiva's Xtra Raptor away from America's shores. :flipoff:

How about the GSR600?  Goes for $10,354 USD in the UK :o

..before the scary taxes :icon_razz:

..before shelling out $30 to fill the tank with $6.35 per gal petrol. :bs:

Nope, I don't envy the Euros a bit.

Good point about the 919.  Honda spoils Americans rotten by offering it for $8499.  That's a naked liter-class dreambike for $3000 less than the CBR1000RR and there are few takers.  So we can oooh and ahhh all we like at the Euroland models because talk is cheap. :icon_rolleyes:

The problem with the 599 and 919 is that Honda thinks they're worth their weight in gold.

And so do the owners that are selling them used.

IMHO, they're nice looking bikes... but, carburetors, steel frames, and unimpressive power-to-weight ratios and performance specs just don't justify the ticket price.

Outside of the cruiser world, you just don't find carbureted bikes at these prices.

That's the old prototype. This is supposedly closer to the production version:
