Man that looks great and much respect to the amount of beer cans in your recycle bin
it took that much beer to get the bike to the point its at now. wait to see the pill when the bike is completed.
yup thats the dining room and i found out that the table will split in two makes a perfect engine stand :woohoo:.
and i have to recycle i'm working on going green :thumb:
can the Vapor unit be used on this bike? if so how does the speedo and tach hook up i need a new speedo and would like to go digital, but I'm not sure if one of those would work :dunno_white:

The collection of what looks like beer cans on the table makes me like the bike even more. Great job
so i got the bike all put back together put gas in it checked the oil level and tried to fire it up. but no good it tried to cache once and then nothing, so i looked at the pit chicken and it was off i thought thats easy turn it on and fuel started to drip out of the carb does this mean my floats are out of whack? it came from the hole in the venturie (sp) what should i do? oh and here's some better pic's (http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu100/jetboy287/100_2226.jpg) (http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu100/jetboy287/100_2227.jpg)
Yeah, check your float heights. You'll probably find they're off... Use the clear tubing method to check, it is a more accurate test...
if they are off how do you adjust them? is it in the wiki ?
First, did you put new gas in it?
Second, did you clean the carbs at all?
Third, you adjust the floats by bending the metal tab.
I ask all this because there is NO WAY that bike will start without major carb cleaning, and I bet money you have a rusty tank, and I KNOW any gas in there is bad.
I cleaned the tank with ETOH and Ball bearings, new gas, cleaned the carb's but not vary well apparently, new fuel lines, new pet chicken, and thanks again for all yall's help
James
hey your not going to get very far unless your going down hill. :whisper: your missing your chain.
yeah I'm waiting for it to come in the mail  I'm just trying to get it to start right now. the guy i work with thinks I'm crazy for putting this much work into something that i bought on ebay, for that matter he thinks I'm crazy for buying a non working anything, but hey i like to work on stuff that's why i own a ford :thumb:
:thumb: nothing wrong with working on something. thats why we got my wifes bike the way we did. i knew i could make it look good and driveable. it wasnt as bad off as yours but it was pretty bad. keep up the great job and youll get the carbs figured out.
thanks bud this is all new to me first small engine I've ever worked on so I'm learning while i go along.
Thanks to everyone for the support and help

new head light :thumb: (http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu100/jetboy287/IMG00229.jpg)
:woohoo: your going to be riding in no time.
she's alive :woohoo: :woohoo: i spent 4 hours cleaning the carbs Sunday night and tried starting her and wow is it loud i need a new muffler bad. but i couldn't help but to grin took a ride around my parking lot till one of my neighbors came out to see what the noise was
which lights did you use? are those the angel eyes?
they are made by pilot got them at auto zone 45$ or so got some spacers from lows and one bolt cut the head off the bolt thread it in one head light pop on the spacers and tighten the other light on i think i got a 1 inch and a 1 1/2 inch spacers and i think the bolt was a 10x 24 metric but I'm not sure i'll try to take some better pictures tomorrow when i get off work but no they are not halos i looked at some of those but didn't want to spend the extra cash
sweet glad you got it running. now have you takin a ride yet or still working on little things?
well i went for a ride around the parking lot :D but i never really let it warm up good i still have to get the turn signals hooked up and get tags, but it boged down when i turned the throttle i have stock jets 1 washer and it's set @ 2 and 1/2 turns is that right?
