I have 10 kits to adapt rearsets from a GSXR (600 K1-5, 750 Y-K5, 1000 K1-4) to our bikes! This is all thanks to mitch79 (http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=61148.0).
I am not trying to make any money off of these kits, I had to purchase the plates with a minimum order so that is the reason for selling them.
The connecting rods I am including have a yellow zinc finish. I did not realize this when I ordered them. I am painting mine black. You can also sand then clearcoat the rod.
The plates are waterjet cut from 3/8 aluminum stock then tapped. The plates are not as pretty as machined plates so they will need to be sanded and painted, or only sanded for a bare aluminum look. I painted mine black to match the frame. The holes are tapped.
What you get:
2 adapting plates
4 mounting bolts
1 connecting rod.
I will get pics up tonight. Price is $45 shipped per set.

Thanks
I have a set of GSXR 1100 rear sets I powder coated some time back and haven't put on so this might work for them. I'm down for a set
 When you say connecting rod, are you talking about the shift linkage?
Yes, it is a LH/RH M6 rod at the right length.
yep righto ... how much shipped to Aussie?....... or... ship to adidasguy.. and i buy a chainguard from him ... then bundle together for o/s shipping... hmmmmm
Sorry didnt have time for pics.
I will look into shipping to aus once I get them all packaged after pictures. I am cool with shipping to adidas.
Thanks
Picture added to first post.
PM me for paypal info.
Thanks

pm sent
IDK if anyone is interested, but I have a spare GSXR 1100 right side rear set
How do they connect on the right side? to the rear brake controls?
I suggest getting the right with the master cylinder from the gsxr. I used the gs master but the brake pedal sits a little high even at max adjustment down. I could cut the master cylinder rod but it'll be easier to switch the master. The brake light switch from the gs works too.

I have pics of mine in the link in the first post. However, the post below is true. In only mention having the extra piece because I don't want skunkteeth stuck with these pieces.

That's true and how I had to do mine. Obviously the master cylinder has to get turned also but it can be made to work
got a pic of them mounted up? im interested
I payed for a kit today. I'll be shopping for the rear sets now. I'm assuming since nobody has said anything about the brake lines, that the GSXR master cylinder and brake lines are compatible? This might be a good time to install brake lines too since I'll have to drain it anyway.

Going to be shipping those who bought over the weekend USPS priority tonight
7 sets left
Thanks
Thank you! I'm shopping for GSXR rear sets now.
If i buy the hardware aftermarket, like these - http://compare.ebay.com/like/330738411154?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar (http://compare.ebay.com/like/330738411154?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar) -
. . . all I need in addition is the rear master cylinder and reservoir off a compatible set right?
That linkage rod will be too short. You can use the gs master but may need to cut the linkage rod shorter to get the proper pedal position. I used a gs master and the pedal was too high. Looks like you need springs also.
I have a right gsxr rearset that I originally used but the pedal is *slightly* bent. It could be bent back or shimmed if anyone wants it.
Thanks
Hopefully I can have the funds soon for this piece as I really need to set up a new rearset for my GS, Quick question: did you use the GSXR link acceptor on the clutch?
Do you mean the shift rod adapter like in the second picture in this thread? http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=61148.0
If so yes, I used that piece. It is good to get a rearset with the complete linkage so you get the LH M6 nut required. Not too easy to find in the US.
Yes, thanks, thats exactly what I meant, its name escaped me. Ok, I'm having some trouble finding a full sets of rearsets for a gsxr and I'm trying to stay away from buying aftermarket ones like woodcraft. Trying to keep my project as cheap as I can for good quality stuff.
But I digress, thanks for the info, hopefully I can find the rearset so I can come back and pick up the plates from you.
You can cut the stock pedal length, drill a hole and add a pin. Then use a spherical rod end (but I cannot remember which side of the linkage is LH thread)
Still have some
Sorry, mine came in the other day. Look really good. Havent installed them yet. New paint colors will be here tomorrow so I will have them and everything else painted soon
i got mine in too. Still shopping for the parts I need.
I was hoping to pick them all up in one go but I think I'll just have to get the pieces as I find them.
Still have some
Anyone ever get a set of these installed with the rear sets?
i got mine now .... with the stuff from Addy ... however i gotta extract some time from 'another dimension' possibly .. i'm on here yeah .. but sooooo time poor for 'me time stuff' lately... :icon_rolleyes:
will do my best to sort it out
I got mine painted and had a chance to mount them today. The reason I asked was because Im using GSXR 1100 rear sets and I ran into several small issues. The holes in the plates didnt quite line up with the rear sets. Barely off but enough to there I had to take my dremel and a carbide bit to slightly open the holes in my rear sets to be able to put a screw through them. Then, the bolts that came with them didnt want to sit down in the holes in the rear sets before they were slightly elongated so being I had some extra OEM rear sets bolts (those with the huge heads), I used them to cover the areas the smaller ones did not. Lastly, seems in my case the linkage rod could have been a bit longer to get more threads in each end. To get the shifter aligned so it would shift up/down, I had maybe 2-3 threads on each end. Anything more and the bottom of the linkage on the left side rear set would hit the rear set and not allow enough movement to shift. Again, with my dremel I had to slightly notch an area on the rear set and linkage so allow it to move more and get more threads. Seems to work for now.
I will post pics later

Im guessing either my issue is because of my GSXR 1100 rear sets or the linkage rod is too short. Either way, as it is now, the rod is definitely to short. You can see the angle of the foot shifter from where it is supposed to be versus where mine is at.
First pic is Mitch79's and the second pic is mine

hrrrm.. wonder.... are dummy bolts/extenders available?... i mean.. same size thread as rod to go into original point on shifter and gearbox lever.. but with maybe 1" barrel of bolt extension to the head which is tapped for the rod thread... ?? .. one of those on each end...
yeah its a bit more stuffing about and an 'extra' bit to 'go wrong' ... but doable?
Well to be clear, I know my issue is my rear sets are different than the ones originally used in this thread.
With that being said, longer rods are avail but I'm short on time for bike/completion so I cut my rod in half, threaded each end with a 1/4-20 die and used 1.5" long 1/4-20 standoff to extend my rod.

:icon_eek: .... Facepalm..... There ya go! ...simplicity!! .... I was getting my multi bolt on :icon_rolleyes:
Much easier your way! :thumb:
Yea sounds like the issue is the different year of rearsets. I used a GSXR600 for the left and 1000 for the right and didnt have issues with mine.
The rods are pretty cheap if you need a longer version, I got them here:
http://www.midwestcontrol.com/series.php?id=84
Original size of the rods I included was 250mm
They have metric turnbuckles too.
Thanks for the info. After comparing the different rear sets, Im sure thats what it was also. Here is what I have now and everything works as it should.
A word of wisdom though, if the threaded rod is on the top of the trans spline (like in my pic) then the gear shift is normal (1D, N, 2U, 3U, 4U, 5U, 6U). But if you put it on the bottom it is then backwards (1U, N, 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D)

I'd very much like to purchase a set ASAP!
