Nah, he was passed the rear tail light when it happened. If that was the case the bike would have slammed into the truck box.
I think adidas is on to something :icon_lol:
I'd go with Pliskin. He's well on his way down when he enters frame. And he's obviously hurt his right hand.
Minor highside from locking and releasing the rear?
i still dunno ... but did a few mins of pauseplaypauseplaypauseplay etc through the 2-5 second marks... the lad seems to be ejecting forward almost before the bike front wheel turns right and bike leans left before everything hits the deck ..
mmm... rear brake and let clutch out suddenly (having shifted into 1st?) .. stutter/lockup by rear wheel and hands not fully gripping bars .. so he does the superman.. then as his brain catches up he grabs the right again as he goes over the top?? :dunno_black:
theres a mechanical CLACK CLUNK just before/right as he launches too??... dont think its the bike of the vlog dude?
.... and its STILL a kawasaki!! :flipoff:
i think janx is right..guy had an oh shaZam! i wasn't paying attention moment. combo of downshift, rear brake, and too much front brake did him to to do a flying wallendas impersonation. as his buddy asked "what happened" and he said "i don't know" of course he didn't. happened to fast. latter on he probably realized what he did. the clank/clunk was most likely the forks bottoming from the fast stop and the rear brake locked up.

Yeah, I'm thinking a long the same lines. that clunk sound to me sounds like its form the bike that crashed. Maybe coming up way fast on stopped traffic and slams rear brakes? Clearly he did not make contact with the truck until after the crash (when tire hit truck tire).
So I'm thinking something with braking, maybe even he locked up rear brake and it started to sling him and he then grabbed front brake which finished him off? If you notice he shacks his wrist, so had to be some forced applied be for going over bars.
Figured i would turn this into my utube video topic :thumb:
Here's one for you guys, the power of the front brake!! :icon_mrgreen:
I like how everyone in the vid carried on as if it was a normal occurrence. No sympathy for squids.

Of course if he had hit the speed bump at that speed he would've just gotten some sweet air :icon_lol:
Most of the speed bumps around DE were low enough that it was within the travel of the shocks... so no problem on a bike. Just stand on the pegs and keep going the speed limit. I honestly haven't seen one of them around here though. Maybe that's what the potholes are for. WV is a weird place :cookoo:

Very nice youTube-find, though I suspect this is one is special to me for reasons not many here will share:
It's the guys from Drive, taking a look at the Spa Francorchamps 24 hour race.
Less famous than the Nurburgring or Le Mans, but also an epic race.
Reason why it's special to me: Spa's my favourite track in the world. Yes, I'm a bit of a chauvenist, but it really is spectacular.
I go there every year for this event.
This documentary also has some pretty good photography. Watch fullscreen in HD ;)

Also consider that the biker group was not driving with good group riding practices. They should have been properly staggered and in one lane. They should have let cars pass.
My guess is they were squids, out to do wheelies and tricks on the highway with no consideration for anyone else.

the bikers riding staggered i believe is what he meant. 1 lane, lead in left followed by one in right, @ safe distance etc. or i may have that reversed. but all occupying one lane

Mid air kart wheels are not my style. I noticed that as well however. I wish there was follow up as to what was all broken etc with the guy and bike.
its odd because they both see the trailer, and it seems like they slow for it, then the dude either was not paying attention or gets cutoff by his friend.
Nah ... 3rd bike bro ... 'Our' cameraman ... The far right rider is super slow ... It's another bike that either tried to slip through and target locked on the trailer kinda thing... Or just failed to see it/brake in time .... No possible way the far right rider could speed up enough in that little distance to propel his body that far up and over! .. Edit .. And far right is a red bike too :thumb:

Biker was probably pissed b/c car guy was cruising in the fast lane.
Am I the only one who sees the biker's pathetically small/dim brake lights lit up moments before his speed drops and he gets rear-ended? Biker brake checks car at highway speed....suffers for it.
Could have brake checked this Eh?

I can't see this version from work so I don't know if it's the same longer version I saw on liveleak.com. However, the longer version shows the car cruising along at a high rate of speed for a minute or so prior to the incident in the break.com vid. He didn't appear to be swerving or braking/accelerating randomly...just cruising in the left lane. Based on what I see, this aggravated the biker to the point where he decided to try brake checking the car guy.
Bad decision by biker. :dunno_black:
I get pissed off too when drivers sit in the left lane. The left lane is for PASSING ONLY. If you aren't currently passing a car get back into the travel lane, it doesn't matter how fast your going. Of course, I don't get mad enough to get rear-ended.
its not a USA rally truck ... its not a euro WRC car .... but i like it.... when i have 'my big lotto win garage' ... i will need one of these ..

yup .. doesnt show in the slo mo so much ... but in the first real time bit ... you can see him start to straighten .. a tiny flinch as he almost leans it back in left .. which is where i think he just target locked on the bikes .. then while brain was going... leftorrightorleftorright?!?!??!?!??!? ... eventually Mr Hand decides to reach for the brake to try and stop ... just not enough space left....

The guy who got hit at the rear tire, the one with the broken leg if I understand correctly? Sucks for him, for sure. But he all but "deserves" it. He put himself in a bad situation. We all take on more than a little extra responsibility when we use a mode of transportation that is inherently less safe than in a cage. We consciously ride defensively because the stakes are high. Extremely high. The one who was initially hit put himself in a very bad position. Just a few feet in front of a distracted driver. Don't we all, as riders, notice distracted drivers and give extra space? Don't we learn to predict drivers' habits and movements so that we can avoid potentially deadly situations? The initial injured party failed as a rider. Miserably. -Rant off

Alexian Lien, 33, was the man driving the Range Rover in the terrifying road-rage video that went viral this week.
Lien was dragged from his SUV and attacked by a group of bikers, known as the Hollywood Stuntz, after a harrowing chase sparked when he ran over at least one rider — reportedly fearing for his family after his vehicle was surrounded.
Lien was released from a hospital on the night of the attack, lucky to escape with minor injuries, reports The Daily News.
The NYPD arrested one man, Christopher Cruz, in relation to the incident. He's charged with a slew of charges, including endangering a child.
Here's what you need to know about Lien and his involvement in this terrible ordeal and viral phenomenon...
1. Lien and His Wife Were Celebrating Their Anniversary

Lien became a target of the gang while he was driving along the West Side Highway in Manhattan with his wife and 2-year-old daughter. The couple were celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary.
It's alleged that the erratic driving of Christopher Cruz (which included performing wheelies and sudden braking) drew the the frustration of Lien. Eventually the incident came to head when Cruz slowed down in front of Lien and Lien's vehicle struck the bike. The SUV was forced to stop, and bikers surrounded it. The 33-year-old, fearing for his family's safety, panicked and sped away from the group, hitting several of them.

2. He Was Beaten and Knifed in Front of His 2-Year-Old Daughter
The horrific attack ended in Washington Heights, where a group of bikers attacked the family, breaking the car's windows, dragging him out, stabbing him in the face and beating him. Lien's 2-year-old daughter sat in a car seat just a few inches away.
The bikers had fled the scene by the time NYPD arrived. Lien was taken to Columbia University Medical Center where he received stitches and was released.

4. He Will Not Face Charges Despite Possibly Paralyzing a Biker
CBS New York is reporting that Lien will not be charged, despite hitting biker Jeremiah Mieses, 26, from Lawrence, Massachusetts. Mieses' father, the Rev. Edwin Mieses, has said that his son will never walk again.
5. Lien is Graduate of Columbia University
Lien is a resident of Lower Manhattan, where he lives with his wife Rosalyn and their 2-year-old daughter.
He was born in 1980 and now works for a company called MB Employee Nominees Limited, where he's listed as a "Banker." Previously he worked for Swiss bank Credit Suisse.

On November 11, 1999 Terry Kelly was in a drug store in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. At 10:55 AM an announcement came over the stores PA asking customers who would still be on the premises at 11:00 AM to give two minutes of silence in respect to the veterans who have sacrificed so much for us.
Terry was impressed with the stores leadership role in adopting the Legions two minutes of silence initiative. He felt that the stores contribution of educating the public to the importance of remembering was commendable.
When eleven oclock arrived on that day, an announcement was again made asking for the two minutes of silence to commence. All customers, with the exception of a man who was accompanied by his young child, showed their respect.
Terrys anger towards the father for trying to engage the stores clerk in conversation and for setting a bad example for his child was channeled into a beautiful piece of work called, A Pittance of Time. Terry later recorded A Pittance of Time and included it on his full-length music CD, The Power of the Dream.

You'd need a pretty Fat frame to goped that thing bro! :thumb:
And a water pump lol
If you're not a fan of GODs beauty, or of nature anyways, or long videos,or train rides from the cab, pass this up. but wow is all I can say
Something seriously wrong with the mind of the Gravel Nazi at the end of my alley.
Looks like he's got himself a little zen garden going. Or, maybe he thinks it concrete and he can't figure out why it won't set up.
Of course, you do know you need to "turn" your gravel daily as not to let it get sun-bleached on one side. Must keep gravel happy......my precious.
he aint very good at the raking either.... thought the idea was to get all un-natural marks out of it.... not ... rake it smooth .. then walk straight over the bit you just raked?!! :cookoo:
you know how mister is pro-concrete powder? .... well... this is a perfect case for it.... couple bags of quickset mix.... then just before a big rainstorm one night ... you sneak .. wander out to look at the coming storm.... and scatter the quickset all over the gravel!! ... :icon_twisted:
Funny - I have video when that happened and he actually spent 45 minutes removing it and (illegally) put it into the yard waste bin (yard waste not for rocks or cement).
Then he used his leaf blower and blew crap from his yard into everyone else's yard. Funny video I'll put up some day.
I felt like I was at the zoo or something watching that video.
"And here you can see the majestic Gravel Nazi in its natural habitat, watch as he meticulously rakes his gravel because why not"
I take back what I said about that gravel guy. I should not have made fun of him. I mean come on, how many of us spend hours and hours grooming inanimate objects? Lets say something like...I don't know, MOTORCYCLES!
Who are we to judge? :dunno_black:
Hehe I want. ive enough room in my basement for this. and an extra 20 ft.
but it wont happen. this guy did it though:
Bonus GS spotting @ 29:42

Toolkit on the GS500.
An interesting clip from a very interesting Channel where the guy has heaps of good European GS500 rides.....worth a visit.
The mountain we ride during the winters shutdown a week before scheduled, and cancelled all the spring shredding festivities.. We still had to move out and clean the place we rent. So I decided to put my on Amish getup I had planned for the pond skim and poach some last tracks! Enjoy fun times and shenanigans from Brother Jibediah
