I recently put on a F2 shifter rearset. It took a little dremeling to get the screw holes to fit but it looks great.

I want to know how much different (angle, fell, etc) the F2 brake rearset is to the GS one. I want to get one to match the shift rearset I just put on but if it is not much different then it might not be worth $50 on fleabay.

I've been working on swapping what used to be Pablo's rear-sets out, and with those CBR rearsets, you'll have the peg located about half an inch to an inch back, about half an inch to an inch higher.

Don't know exact specs off the top of my head, but search for Chimivee, he swapped his out, and he's got links to some good pictures that you can use to get it more accurate than I have in front of me right now.

Or, you could wait 2 or 3 weeks for my complete write up.  PM if you need something specific as I could take side by side or whatever kind of picts (of the rear-sets, not the other kind of whatever...) for you if you'd like.

i don't completely mean to be a smart ass but...
you could hold your stock peg up next to your F2 peg and LOOK
because that is what somebody else is going to have to do.

Don't mean to be a smart-ass, but did you read my first paragraph?

If you need something more specific than that, lemme know.

smartass :nana:

hehe..if you read carefully I have only installed the cbr shift rearset and not the brake rearset.

I want to know if it's worth buying the cbr brake rearset to match the crb shift rear set I've already installed.

To answer your question: The difference on the brake side is about the same as the difference on the shift side.

Would I buy a rear-set to get it to match brake side?  Depends, can you tell a difference now that you have installed the F2 shift side?  I'd swap it out, just to have it even, but I really like to have my controls even on both sides of the bike. (Old motocross habit)

Not trying to be a smartass...of course.

I'd put a smilie in there, but my Mac browser doesn't like smilies.

Old school smilie= :^)

I did the swap on my girls bike.  It made it feel more cramped but thats probably due to the fact Its still running the stock handle bars.

Its an improvement overall I think,  makes it feel more like the bikes Im used to riding.  My onyl complaint is that the bolts I got at the hardwear store are rusting and makes it looks ugly
