sigh...i have a question again...

i finally got my bike running a week ago, it was indeed an expanded diaphragm...i got that fixed and now the bike won't start when it's cold...

whenever i want to start the bike now...I'll have to keep on starting it using the starter button and bump starting it just so that it won't drain the battery...

I'll have to do this for at least 30 min before the bike starts...

however, the bike will start with no problem once i get it warmed up...

is this a sign of running way too lean?...should i rejet?...but then again, why do i have this problem now and not before?

1.  Of course you should go up one size on the pilot and main jets (and mid-main if its a 2001 or newer)
2. Set the pilot screws to about 2 1/2 turns out (you did remove the cap over the screws didn't you?)
3.  Before doing either of these, fix your choke.

but why did the problem just pop out all of a sudden?
my mains are 40 (canadian model)
i didnt' remove the cap yet...i have to drill it out right?

do you open the choke all the way when you try to start the bike cold? you should but maybe it will work on half the choke

i tried the choke in all possible position along with throttle positioning...still won't start instantly...

i just missed a gorgeous day today :x ...why won't my bike start :x  :x

Glad that you already have the 40 pilots -

I said "fix your choke" because with all the assembly/disassembly/re-working you have done on the carbs it might well have gotten messed up - Check that the cable is actually moving the linkage at the carbs and that it is indeed fully on when you turn the choke on = Kerry has posted pictures of the linkage before - perhaps he will again.
