Just received my leather jacket from Newenough.com and was wondering how tight they are suppose to fit. I am  thinking I should return it for a size or two larger as it feels ackward when wearing it. Once it's broken in a little will it be diffrerent? By the way the jacket is a Teknic Lightning, size 44. Anyone out there own one of these jackets, if so any input would be appreciated.

that jacket should fit somewhat snug. Thats how I would wear it so it doesnt flap in the wind...

I also purchased a teknic lightning jacket.  I got the size 42 and it fits well.  It's still pretty roomy on me (but I'm lanky, 6' 155lbs).  My only complant is that it seems just the slightest bit short.  Newenough.com did say the the jackets run smaller in the chest than normal, so if 44 is typically the size you wear in all your other jackets you probably want a 46.

I figured it should fit snug but it just seemed a little too snug unless I took the lining and padding out. Think I will send it back for a 46 and hope for the best. I agree with you by the way about it being a little short.

I noticed Teknic leather fits a little smaller than other brands.  I suggest going to a store that carries Teknic and trying them on to see which size feels the best to you.  And yes, the jacket should be snug and it will break in but it won't stretch that much.  If its that uncomfortable, send it in for the next larger size :dunno:

Newenough is supposed to be really great on the customer service/satisfaction side of things :thumb:

I wear riding gear very tight. I don't feel right when it bunches up all over in different positions.  Try wearing it on the bike, it may not feel as snug.

I have  Teknic Chicane (the perforated jacket) and it is a 42. I am a perfect 41..too large for a 40 and too small for a 42, but this jacket fits like glove.
When I first got it, thought I'd made a mistake, but I do like the fit  now. It would be too small for a winter jacket if I wore anything like a fleece under it.
A little bunching is not bad and it would give you an inch more length, so I say go up a size, but be prepared to have the neck pushing up under your chin.
We don't really know what we're doing and even when we do, it doesn't seem to help. Bono
