Yes, but he can be a good BF and ignore this thread.   :)

//www.NewEnough.com has a good selection of gloves at good prices.
Common sense in not very common.

If he rides in cool /winter weather he'll appreciate gloves with long cuffs.  The long cuffs come up over the jacket sleeves and block the wind.

I just bought a set of gloves for myself, blue/black/white Teknic Chicane's in XL, and I've got a little on the larger size hands, and they fit really really well.  My old Fieldsheer Jacket isn't long enough in the arms, so I get some wind through that junction, but it's nice on a hot day to get some more ventilation.

With shipping, I paid 41 bucks for them on closeout, and they've got 4-5 different colors and all sizes in stock at newenough.com.  I originally got size large, but they were too tight, so I swapped 'em out for XL's.  The XL's came 2 days after I ordered the exchange, which is pretty good as I'm in Cali. and they are based in Texas.

I ordered the same gloves as Tony here, only in Yellow and black, i also ordered a Black and Yellow Teknic Lightning jacket, and its still taking 5 days from texas  :x  excellent purchases though, i would HIGHLY recommend them.

thanks so far to all you who've posted. I'm currently checking into all of the suggestions.  I've been tricky enough not to post any identifying info so my guy has no clue that Im posting on here.  ;)

He hasn't dropped any hints, but if he has a jacket and helmet in one color should I get matching gloves or is that too girly to have everything color-coordinate?

Roadstergal

I would get something matching - actually, I did.  But I'm a girl.  :P

Assuming he rides a sportbike, i guess it wouldn't be too girly(especially once you consider some of these "Power Ranger" outfits some people wear). If he's riding more of a cruiser, black leather tends to do alright. If he's riding a GS(since he's posting on here, that may be a safe assumption), you can do as you please.

Newenough.com has some good deals. Personally, i'd suggest going to a website that has a huge selection( www.motorcycle-usa.com has a good superstore with many styles to choose from) and then once you've found something you think he'd like, write down the name of them and use search engines. Ebay sometimes does alright, too.

Hope this helps.

Don't get glove color that would clash with the rest of his gear. Black is always a safe color for gloves. I would stay away from any that have a light color. Mine have a tan palm which have since turned black from the aluminum clutch & brake levers. I really don't mind since the palms are kangaroo which make for excellent control feel. I have not seen any gloves made with kangaroo in a while. It is tougher and more durable the cow hide leather.

Take a look at his old gloves to see what size he wears while he's in the shower.

When you go to buy gloves, read the tag to make sure they are not synthetic leather.

I prefer TourMaster; Carbon Comp II's for summer.

Do a search on "gloves", using [Search] at the top of the page.

After my Icon gloves did exactly bupkus to help me out in the accident, I replaced them with a set of Joe Rocket Phoenix gloves.

I would have liked a set of these, but I'm poor.  :(

Held makes some with kangaroo, but they = $$$.  Not sure I'd be much help with the glove search.  I was pretty limited due to my long fingers and skinny palms.   :x   I've now decided glove shopping is almost as bad as shoe shopping.
