Now GS-less...

I got my check for a replacement bike for the Savage, and so went in planning to get another similar cruiser.  While we were dickering over price on a Boulevard S40, someone mentioned something about an SV650S that had been traded in... I asked the guy to draw me up a scenario of trading in the GS, just for fun.  I asked him to drop the price some.  We arrived at a mutually satisfactory conclusion.  So I now have a 2001 SV650S.  They're keeping it to drop it some tomorrow to fit my ridiculously small inseam.

I do love the GS, though, and if I run across a cheaper one than my 2000, with higher miles, I might spring for it.  But the offer on the tradein was good enough to make me do it...

The old and the new... not great pics, but it was late and wet.

I didn't; thanks for the links!  I mentioned in another thread that the dealership had a blue SV650 just like that one, but dropped and with the seat cut, and that's how I finally realized I could fit an SV... the red one is an '01 (ja, I know, still carbed), more reasonable price, and the S, so I'm quite happy with the deal. :)

What next? A turbo hayabusa??

God, the Busa is so big...

The SV is only a little heavier than the GS and, I'm discovering, actually feels nimbler.  It's a heckuva nice bike.
