I have a good combination of winter stuff to keep me riding into the teens.
The only weak spot is the knees.   They get cold first and the most.  Any suggestions?

It's not quite cold enough yet, but I'll be breaking out the rollerblade knee pads soon

Ja, I have a set of JR pants with a big chunk of armor in the knees.  As a positive side effect, they keep my knees warm.

I tend to put on waterproof "overtrousers" pretty much all the time in Winter. If you want to ride in jeans etc, consider either L-Js or "tubigrip" bandages, go for the lightweight ones, don't show, cheap, washable and disposable.

what about neoprene knee braces? just a thought.

Knee braces? Umm.. yeah, those would probably keep you warm(except for the little hole over the kneecap). But they might hamper circulation, depending on what kind they are, and some of them have metal or plastic rods in them(wouldn't want that on in a crash, imho).

Roller blade knee pads sound good.  In cold weather I wear a two piece rain suit that keeps the wind out but it's not enough when it comes to the knees.  I bought a pair of Suzuki pants at closeout with knee padding and they are great around the knees but they are very skimpy around the area just below the knees and above the ankles.
In the winter I wear a pair of neoprane pants, jeans and the rainsuit.  With the knee pads I should be good into the teens.

Move to Arizona.

Arizona no way.  The leaves are turning and pretty soon I'll have the roads all to myself.  Well almost to myself.  There are two other guys I see riding around Greenwood Lake in the dead of winter.  With my DL-650 I'm heading for the ski slopes this year.  Nothing like beats winter riding.

Move to Louisiana.  Today it was 93 with 80% humidity.  I think it was cooler on July 4.

No way these kind of places don't eally exist.  You guys are just making them up.  Next thing you will be telling me is that the earth is round. :lol:
