Will it fit?  there is a brand new 03 tank on ebay and I still need to replace my dented one.

there's a 93 tank on ebay too

I know it won't hook up w/ the side fairings the right way... but maybe it'll bolt up? I don't know, but if you want to keep your side fairings how they are, you're out of luck.

That's for a 98 GS500.

Didn't the tank change one year, i thought they are a bit bigger now. Could be wrong.

Yep, in 2001.  An extra .8 gallons or so.

Fabricate a bracket to catch the fairing front grommet push ins and enjoy...

I detect a sly expression on you  :guns:  face ... so only question is... have you...  :mrgreen:
BTW I have sat the 02 tank on my frame... it was a smashed one at a wrecker... but a thin strip of steel and a grommet is all you'll need to use that with the 89-00 tail. Anycase... I remembered...the rounded tank and the more angular 89-00 tail dont actually look right with each other...however it will fit and work... like anyone didn't know that...
