Desperate! HELP! Need help chosing textile pant

I've failed now on two different occassions at getting pants.   The Leather Cortech Apex air pants just didnt fit me right, there was lots of bunching and extra material around the front and behind the calves, while the hips and knees felt a little tight.

Basically I'm looking for a textile pant with good protective qualities, decently rated material and CE armor.  Does anyone have any recommendations?  Pant, overpant, doesn't matter, I just want something that's going to work.

Any advice is EXTREMELY appreciated. I don't like riding in just jeans. :(  Thanks guys.

The best overpant, that I can think of, is the TourMaster Cortech GX, because it has 1680 denier in the impact areas, 1000 denier everywhere else and armor.

The other pants, that are not overpants, I would suggest would be the Fieldsheer Astropants, 500 denier and armor, $99. I still ride these for the rain rides, despite having bought a pair of the Apex Air pants, that you mentioned, for next summer.

Remember the dimensions of the pants you tried and compare those measurements against other manufacturer's (not matching the numbers, just so you know what you're looking for; like more length, etc.).

I like how Fieldsheer fits, but I am leery of their leather, as I had a pair of gloves that were synthetic leather instead of real leather.

Thanks a million for the quick response... Is the cortech GX really an overpant?  I thought it was a sport pant.     I know that pant doesnt have CE approved armor,,, but whatever triple density is is probably adequate.

In fact I believe you may have responded to another thread of mine when I specifically mentioned this pant, if so, thanks too.

I was just going to go look at TourMaster's website to get more accurate info.

The only other suggestion off the top of my head is a pair of overpants from First Gear.

Do you want this pant to zip to your jacket? Are you looking for a full circumference zip?

Thats what I was hoping for with the Tour Master leather pants (since I have a magnum jacket).   I don't believe the GX has a zipper on it, in fact I dont think I know of a textile pant that has a zipper?

What I like about the GX - Good material, adjustable armor.
Don't like - triple density armor(?), will it fit my large arse?

Was also thinking of the Hein Gericke Overpants...

Likes -  CE armor, looks understated, flexible for multitude of situations
Dislikes - Non adjustable armor, won't tuck in boots(?)

You're right! I had to go look to verify that, indeed, none of TourMaster's textile pants are zippable to jackets! How silly! I had thought, once, that they had zippers, based on info from distributers websites.

Some textile pants do have zippers, the Astropants have an 8-inch zip.

Typically, overpants are not tucked into boots. I have seen a guy wearing jeans underneath his race leathers.

If you do get Gericke leather pants, make sure they're made anywhere but Taiwan; the leather from Taiwan is too thin.

Yeah thats unfortunate about the zipper.  It seems kind of lame to me.

I was actually looking at the textile overpants, but the material is unknown....

It's a textile.

The FirstGear Pilot leather pants are available with a full-circumference zip.

It is a textile.   I knew that :)   I just don;t know how to compare its abrasion resistance to any other fabircs because ive never heard of this and it doesnt have a number (ie. 500, 600, 1000 etc)

No number? Don't trust. I don't feel comfortable wearing something I just don't know anything about.
