How do I determine if my bike is a California model?

I appear to have the reminence of a fual emmission control system. I have an extra line coming from my carbs that simply hangs down under the bike. It goes to nothing. Could this possible be the line that used to go to the canister in the following pic. per Kerry

OK that hose to nowhere comes from the front bottom of the carbs ... that = CA carbs.
