Does anyone on this site make these? if so who and how much?

I am aware of the bandit huggers and the alesio motor ones.  

Just looking for an easier to get alternative.  or if anyone knows of a site....let us know!

I am in the process of making a mold to produce one for myself and will probably sell to those wanting one as well. Probably wont have a workable mold done til after christmas...i'll keep yah informed. No idea on pricing yet....have to make one first.

All the rear suspension pieces are identical. What fits on an '01+ will fit an '04+ F model, along with the 89-00 E's

I picked up the molds from JamesG yesterday. I have a mold for the hugger. It is for a SV but I am told that it will fit the GS. I will need confirm this. I should be able to start making some parts within the next couple of weeks. They can be made in carbon fiber as well as fiber glass.

Dgyver, out of the kindness of my heart, I would be willing to let you try these moulds and test pieces out on my bike!!

Actually I am going to need a bike to test on since the chain guard tabs are cut off of my swing arm. Have you got yours running?

I just bought the two petcock valves off Flash, and should get them tomorrow.  I also purchased some new fuel line.  I should have the bike running by next weekend.  I'll be gone all next week, so I won't be able to work on it in the evenings.  
As for the chain guard and tabs, they are all there and functioning well.

make sure you get it to work for the '04 gs'es.  :mrgreen:

I'm an idiot, but I thought that the only difference between CF and FG was the fabric that you use.  Are you making a plug or just using a male?

The resin is the same for which ever cloth used. FG would be for painting and CF could be clear coated or painted. The molds are of the outside surface of the part.

Are you buying any carbon fiber cloth?

I do have CF cloth and will be getting more eventually.

Sweet put me down for one in CF.  I think I might make a CF front fender.  I have been looking into mold construction quite a bit lately and it should be pretty simple to make a female plug from the stock fender.  What cloth are you using for the visible exterior layer?

other huggers will fit the GS  i'm sure or you could make them fit....but not properly. They were not made for the bike. The SV hugger is made for a bigger tire. Mine will be made to fit a stock GS500F. I'll let you know when I have a mold ready to go.

There are several front fender molds in the boxes, I will need to check on what I have.

Actually the SV hugger mold looks very close to fitting. It would not take much to modify a part and pull a mold off of it.

Be careful if you make a hugger mold to fit the stock GS tire. Not every one runs the stock size.

The carbon fiber parts would be completely carbon fiber cloth or they may have some cabon/kevlar cloth added (but unseen) in places for additional strength. CF cloth is only available in black due to carbon. But kevlar can be dyed so the carbon/kevlar cloth is available in several colors: carbon/blue, carbon/red, carbon/orange, carbon/natural kevlar (yellow) and maybe some other colors.
