For all of you Harbor Freight fans in Seattle... a new one opened up right by the Ikea store in Renton...Off of 167 south take a left at the stop light and it should be on the left hand side across the street from Staples.

No, I don't work for them...this is a free advertisement...but if you like working on your bike but need tools and don't want to spend an arm and leg on them, HF is the joint.

Cheap tools.  Not for the professional but great for once-in-a-while tinkerers like me.  I bought a torque wrench for $18 on sale and then returned it's previously purchased $68 twin to Home Depot.  The Harbor Freight brand has worked great for me the two or three times it was used this past year.

some of their stuff is complete and utter junk.  Other stuff really isn't bad.  It's best to really inspect the tool before you buy and make sure it will work fine for what you need.

I didn't like their impact drivers much.  Ended up going w/ craftsman for that.   On the other hand, they have a decent dig caliper for under $20..

Yeah it's hit an miss- I work on the water ( Literally...on a boat daily..) so inexpensive tools  are good ( occasionally something goes in the water....the magnet brings it out..but if it doesn't...less of a loss $$ wise).
Their Porta-band is great -65$ versus the 300$ price tag on the Milwauke...

Yes the Milwauke is better (not so much that I need to have a Milwauke) but I can buy almost 5 of the Harbor freight ones for the price of 1 Milwauke..... Theft is an issue once in awhile... Our toolbox on our boat has been hit twice this year....Once was before I fixed it ...last time they mangled the box( First time the hinge was almost off and they got it that way..)....Big jobsite box attached to the boat... So it's less of loss that way too...(theft)

Anyway alot of the stuff is more than good enough for home use. Alot of it is good enough for professional use....

To those who do shop at the stores....Look online for the prices first and print the page out and take it with you. They are often cheaper online and will match the online price at the store for you.
When the 2nd Amendment is lost, the rest will soon follow.

Torque is LBs-FT Damn it.
Yeah that was me.    One of my rides
