how about a neutral name?
Accelerate like your being chased, Corner like you mean it, Brake as if you life depends on it.
Ride Hard...or go home.

Its you Vs the pavement.....who wins today?

As for the religious thing, I am not offended by a name including satanic references.  Does this mean I'm a satanic worshiper?  Absolutely not.  If I attend church that would be approximately 1 or two hours a week out of my week that I devoted to God(and throughout the week whenever I remembered that I was religious), but since I am either on this board, riding my bike, or working on it for over 20 hours each week, it would seem that I worship my bike more than I do any religion.  Plus, God is a cool guy...he invented cool...he won't freak out about a patch with a depiction of what humans think the devil looks like.  It actually reinforces religion.  God is perfectly camoflauged without the devil.

So we started off on the biker name tangent and I was worried that we wouldn't get any name suggestions but you guys came up with so many good names I am having troubles deciding which one to pick.  You all came through in true GS fashion.  I appreate your participation. :thumb:

Thanks for the summary.  Since one of those is my baby, I wanted to point out that there were several versions, which were meant as kind of a plays on this web site:

GodSTwin, GodSTWIN, etc.

Ditto what you said about religion, but I'm not crazy about putting "Satan" on there.  Devils are a little more PC all around.  Lots of sports teams, etc. use "devil" in their names, but "Satan"?  I mean, being from "The Great Satan" maybe I should appreciateit, but I agree it might cause trouble.

If none of these, then somewhere out there is the perfect name.  What's a few more pages in the thread until we find it?

I like the GS500 rim with GSMC Northeast on it, the logo is readily identifiable with the GS500, add some smoke and I think we got a wiener!
But I still think a poll would be in order. With patches nominated, logos researched and price points taken into consideration. (the more complex the more money)
GSTWIN could also sell the patches of varying sizes to anyone with over a certain amount of posts. (or anyone with the $$)
I like the idea and hope it comes into fruition.

I don't know the logo you're discussing, but I agree that something could be done with the wheel.  If it could spoof that "West Coast Choppers" logo in a funny way, that could also be a plus.  The Yahoo Savage/S40 group did something like that, http://home.comcast.net/~ccantley/bslawnsm.jpg but we could be more ambitious.  Replace that cross with the GS wheel.  Or maybe just a profile of the whole naked bike.  Or naked bike and faired bike on the same logo.  Hmm.....I oculd see where a bunch of money thrown at it could come up with something really cool.

I'm designing a crest but give me a couple of days/ weeks to make it pretty and cool, I'll try a couple of designs (they name on the design and the motto can be changed but I'm just going to use one so that everyone can see what it looks like.)

CAN_Porn*Star

Maybe incorporate a Canadian flag, US flag, Australian flag, ece on the patch.

These are the different definitions for "ece":

ECE Early Childhood Education/Educator
ECE Ecole Centrale d'Electronique (France)
ECE Economic Commission for Europe
ECE Economische Commissie voor Europa (United Nations) (Dutch: Economic Commission for Europe)
ECE Educational Credential Evaluators Inc
ECE Electrical and Computer Engineering
ECE Electro-Chemical Engineering
ECE Electronic Combat Environment (aircrew training devices)
ECE Electronic Commerce Europe (Association)
ECE Electronic Communication Equipment
ECE Electronics and Communications Engineer
ECE Endothelin Converting Enzyme
ECE Engineering Cost Estimate
ECE Environmental Compliance Evaluation
ECE Expected Classification Error
ECE Explicit Congestion Echo

Ever since 9-11 you can't take two steps without seeing another damn flag.  Flags on umbrellas, flags on toothbrushes, flags on little doggy sweaters.  Am I the only American that feels this way?

The patches proly should be regionally nondescript, just to keep prices down and demand up  .

always pictured a man in blue on a GS500

Yes long live the GS Posse!.  There's 5 of us still in the Posse (I think).  The Posse *might* be making an appearance in Las Vegas next year at the WERA national, but that's not certain yet.

BTW, Greg started the motto "Horsepower is a crutch" for the GS (500 that is - there's a whole lot of GS1100 dragbikes out there!)
