Well, since my bike was stored for winter, and I was home for winter break, I decided to check and adjust my valves.  (Both exhausts went from 2.65 to 2.55)  It happened to be in the upper thirties this afternoon and I just had to check:  did my bike still run??  I pulled the battery out of the basement and jumped her from my truck to get it going.  Well, I couldn't just let my bike run and not ride it ;) So I went for a nice short trip to warm the bike up and man did it feel good to be back on two wheels.  It's a good thing I checked; cause my bike is still a lot of fun

Must be rough haveing to store your bikes over winter,I'm one of the lucky ones that get to ride all year round. Here people think I'm nut's just because I'll ride in the rain rather than take the car, pretty wimpy compared to the snow you have to deal with.I ride to work as well as weekend run's,even though I'm only going to work or from never get sick of the rideing and I cant even tell you why I enjoy it, just do,can't imagne haveing to store the bike and no rideing  ;)

I'm actually kinda divided on the subject.  I really miss riding, but I like the snow too.  I guess that's why I chose to go to school where I get 200 inches of snow per year(of course that decision was before I started motorcycling).

I guess I think that everyone should experience snowy winters, but not because I have to, because it can be a lot of fun.  If you don't want that, fine, move to florida where you get hit by hurricanes every couple weeks :nana:

Actually there is basically no snow where I am now(parents house in southern WI), but I'm looking forward to getting back up to Hancock in a week so I can go play in the snow, ie: skiing, snowshoing, Winter Carnival, driving my truck sideways down the road    .  I'm sure my opinion will change in a couple months when I get tired of the color white, but for now I will only occasionally be disgruntled that I can't ride and jealous of those who can.  In any case I'm really glad I got to go out for a quick ride the other day :thumb:

I miss snow.  Without snow, we have the autumn rain turning into the winter rain, which gradually gives way to the spring rain... it doesn't feel like spring means anything without snowmelt.

Oh well.  I ride in the rain, since I can't sled.

No, I agree with AussieGS.  It's great to be able to ride MOST of the year.  I'm in the south of the state while Aussie is in the north.  So I'm guessing I get stymied by the frost a few more mornings, and I do get a few inches of snow some days (including Christmas !  :o ).  It never lies around long though.  Other than that we get pretty much the same weather.
BTW, Tassie needs migrants, so please consider.  We won't hold it against you that you are Americans, or even Poms.  Honest.  :)
