I had the same type of buzzing sound. I would put my hand on all my gages around where I thought the sound was coming from but I just couldn't located it. One day I was really getting frustrated so I just started trying to hold everything in sight, and I found that when I held the windshield the buzzing would go away. Come to find out that my windshield had gotten a little loose, so I just tightened those screws up and it was gone! Check the windshield screws!

Hey and I'm with you with the broke stuff. I'm at 1,450 miles on my GS and haven't had it serviced yet... And I thought I was bad! Good luck with that, and may you get a financial break soon!
