Well it was only 10 miles but still nice for Jan. Its about 67 degrees right now, which is prob. close to a record high around here. Me and Dad rode to the ABATE meeting which was surprising that we were the only ones that rode, and after the meeting I took a ride around town. I really didn't wanna ride too much, theres still tons of sand on the roads and a lot of the country roads are flooded from all the rain we have been getting.

So is anyone else still riding?

I'm so ready for spring to finally get here.

I'm still riding, despite the best attempts of Seattle drivers to inadvertantly kill me.

i really like them both, the cavy was my 1st car, prelude is just a daily driver, cavy is more for appearance mods plus no one mods too many 2nd gens. the prelude has a huge aftermarket, i might do some stuff under the hood one day but thats about it for it. so i don't know, i just like doing stuff to my cavy since its hard to find an aftermarket for, plus i'm a mod over at v6z24.com and i just tend to like the people better that are into z24's so its cool to do something new and share it over there.

If I was not spending all my free time working on making fairings, I might actually be able to go riding.

I used to have a '87 Z24. Sold it with 275,000 miles. Kind of miss the car, it was a fun ride and had an awesome stereo. Enkei wheels and Suspenion Techniques racing springs with Koni shocks. Muncie made the 5-speed in my car, some came with trans made by Izuzu.
Common sense in not very common.

Yep, I've been riding. It's warmer when it rains, though. Right now, we have that dry, frost-on-the-roofs cold.

Its been raining for 2 weeks straight here in cali. Yesterday and today were the only dry days. I rode almost every day of the two weeks, i lucked out and it wouldnt be raining on my way to work, just on the way home. Yesterday, it took me about 45 min to get home from work, i took the long way and just cruised, its about low 50's but excellent riding weather. To bad I get off work when its dark, i really gotta start lookin for another job....

weather.com has an hourly forecast for the whole day, so last nite i went on and checked it.  well it was supposed to be about 50 and partly sunny, NO RAIN.  well last nite i did everything i needed to do to ride today (leave tools at work etc...).  when i leave this morning, it was barely 40 and so foggy u could feel it on ur skin.  in addition i had my tinted sheild on my helmet so i couldnt see for shaZam!.  by the time i got to work i was soaked from the thick fog.  ride home was awesome tho!

Its been overcast all day here, fog should burn off around 3 or so though hopefully. I plan on takin another long route home tonight as well. Prolly go visit some friends on the way home. I rode to work today in some minor fog though, not unusual for the central valley. Its not bad fog until you cant see the road just past the hood of your car. But my bike wouldnt start this morning, that sucked, made me 4 min late for work, had to pull out a spare battery i have in the garage for just such an occasion and jump the bike. Oh well, another lesson learned, i need to check the bike out this weekend for shorts now i guess.

Cool, Sounds like it was a nice ride, there are some killer looking 1st gen z's out there. I would love to find a 5spd z 2nd gen, of course, to turn into a drag project. You got lucky with the muncie tranny those were the best ones out of the 2.

Didn't get a chance to ride last night, but did do a short ride last sunday.  I think it was 43 degrees outside.  Just put on the winter gear and was toasty warm.

The other guys probably couldn't find their helmets.

I had to ride yesterday.  So what if it was 24F.  I did a mile around the neighborhood to warm up the bike (did ME no good), a mile to the bank, a mile to the mechanic to check out the '98 Concours for sale (anyone interested?), chatted, got out and the bike was stone cold again.  I left my balaclava at home, thinking I'd ride today so keep it clean (I'm picky that way).  Nope, it was barely 20F this morning.  But suited up yeasterday, with Tecnik jacket/pants and just $40 Thinsulate gloves, HJC full-face, all was fine except the danged chin.  I thought it was going to fall off. The $5 balaclava would have fixed that.

I think except for maybe Sta-Bil in the tank, I'm just going to assume I can ride once or twice a week and skip the winterizing.  I don't know that I'd do that if I lived in Indiana.  (Hail Purdue!)

Summer, eh?  :guns:

Now you're not going to tell me it's too hot to ride, are you?  :bs:

I might just suit up today and go around for an hour, even if it is 25F out here.  This time I'm wearing the balaclava.  --Mike D.
