sweet is all i can say. finally installed new chain, and front and rear sprocket. got a 14 tooth from JT sprockets. i am surprised that my bike chain lasted this long. it wasnt he original chain, but the sprockets were. got 22k mi on the bike now. i cant believe that those sprockets hadn't broken any teeth. but wow. now i can pull my 250lb ass up to about 2 o'clock if i dump the clutch. f-ing right!!

14t is a pretty sharp turn on the front, did you do anythin in the rear?  I just got a 42t rear off of ebay last week, I think I might also go to a 15t in the front, so that should wake her up.

no, didnt do anything in the rear, went with the stock size. im pretty sure its a 39 tooth. yeah, the 14 was a sharp turn, but it was worth it. if you go with the 42rear and 15front, it will be about the same as going two down in the front, but remember if you go up in the back, you will probably need a longer chain. my rpm's went up by about 1k-1.5k at a steady cruise.

some of the posts on here say that on the highway, after a big jump like that, you will lose some of the top end. i rode for a long time yesterday and it feels like i gained some. it will accellerate pretty hard in sixth gear now. before it was more of a cruising gear. :thumb:

i also had the problem with the petcock not suppplying enough fuel. when i rode yesterday, it never once did that. im hoping that the rpm's going up are making the vaccuum stronger so it will pull the fuel through now. i havent ridden it enough yet to say that it is cured, but here's to hoping
