Last Friday I was running around on my rr and came across a couple on a black 2002 gs500 turning left onto Wilshire blvd (they were on 20th going north). Alpinstars TZ1 black jacket.

Anyone here?

I was on the red 600rr waving and giving you the  thumbs-up to the gs500...Its driving me crazy seeing people listing their locations as Malibu, LA, Redondo, etc.

I heard from somewhere that they didn't sell black GSs in the states. Is that correct?

Also, you'll mainly see me in the Malibu/Calabasas/Thousand Oaks/Simi Valley areas in case you ever wonder who's on that yellow GS around these parts. For the most part I'll just be going from school down to get some groceries at Ralphs or up to Simi to see the lady.

there are several years of black. but the newer body style only came in black in 2002 in the US. there's a color chart link from the home page here at gstwin.com that shows all the US colors for the various years.

2002 only came in black here. 2001 only came in the blue/green here. no 2003 in US.

Mine's black. But it's a '92... And the black is a rattle-can, Mad Max kinda job done by the previous owner.
