Tach stopped working....theres a little screw in the front camshaft that converts cam rotation into tach signal. the screw is screwed...the rest of the cam is fine....

May be one of you have one for sale? I could bought new +-u$110, but I dont think its worth to buy it  just for that little screw.
May be you can help me.

Thank you guys.

OK cam shafts and the end caps and the head bearings wear together. you might be faced with a cam shaft that simply does not work in your head.
Cool.

Maybe you can look into an aftermarket tach, Im not really sure if one exists but it might be worth a shot.

The older GSXR and Katana electronic tachs are easy to wire in, just 3 wires. I have a write-up to post someday. But if you are interested, I can provide more details on which ones to use.

You don't need a tach.  Go by ear.  I NEVER look at mine except to see if I'm in 6th gear (RPMs 1,000 below the speed).
