ok well i messed up, i won this

not exactly how i want to addvance the ignition dose anyone have a few really good pics of a V&H one (seeing as i dought anyone will give one up to me so i can make measurments)

do you guys think i can cut a new set of slots in the back and make it work?

Bob modifies the rotor, like in the ebay auction. In the DIY section, you modify the plate.

No difference. Both achieve the same degree advancement, if done correctly. Modifing the plate allows you to go back to stock setting (not sure why you would want to).

The hole is elongated radially into a slot. If the slots are not cut right, either the wrong direction or there is a possibility that there will be enough room for the plate to slip and the rotor hits the pickup. I had my plate come loose and the rotor hit the pickups. Luckily there is only minor scuffing on the plastic. I have not heard of anyone that has had this problem. I sent several rotors to Bob to modify since I did not want to mess with it myself, not lazy just other things pressing. Now I need the time to rebuild those motors.
