So, if anyone read any of my previous threads I was dealing with an electrical issue.  I ended up having a severed ground and I replaced all the defunct wires.  The bike is running great, no problems.  One weird thing resulted from all this though.  When I got the bike my speedo and tach lights didn't work.  I figured they burned out and didn't bother replacing them.  After I fixed my electrical the speedo light started working for about three days.  Then it would randomly turn off, but go back on if I honked my horn.  Now it just doesn't work at all.  All in all I'm not really concerned, but I wanted to check with the forum and see if this was a sign of another impending electrical failure.

I once had intermitten electrical problem similar to that, i.e., the instrument panel lights and LEDs would go on and off.  I found out that it was the connector (the blue one) in the headlight housing that was just old and loose.  I fixed it by using a small zip tie to make sure that the connection is tight.

The two wires to look at would be the gray and black/white ones in that blue connector.

Thanks, John.    I'll keep that in mind next time it acts funny again, but so far it has been good for months now.
