I've tried:

Joe Rocket Blaster: sizes are smaller than typical (large is really a medium..) but overall VERY comfy, but not a 'whole' lot of protection.  Overall WELL worth the like $25 or whatever from newenough.com

Teknic Chicane: I did NOT like these.  The fit was all wrong; and looks like good protection.. but I wasn't comfortable with them

Firstgear trophy: I didn't like the firstgear jackets... but they got it right with these gloves....  TONS of protection, but are still comfy... very comfy.  Overall, a perfect balance of protection (fingers, hard protection on sides of palms, wrists, and knuckles... lots of thick leather....... A+++

Your other thread said you were in between a mediium and large.  Me too.  So which size did you get in the Trophy's?  I want a pair, but haven't found them in stores to try on.

I like those burnout gloves, but neoprene on a glove doesn't seem right, ya know?  Anyway, the medium fit best on the burnouts, the large had too much material that could bunch up in the palm area.

newenough actually sent me both sizes... the large is a bit too big... the med is a bit too small... i think im gonna keep the med and hope they stretch just a bit

do you still have the Chicane gloves? I'd be interested in picking them up off of you if you do.

they charged me for one pair... it's actually a huge long story.. lol. I ordered the chicane, and hated them.  they sent out JR phoenix, and charged me the difference ($10?) then when I didn't like those, they sent me two pairs of the trophy's so I could make sure I got the right size.. and charged me the difference again ($10?)

they rock, for sure, and I'm undecisive  :dunno:

I'm currently using the Alpinestars SPS leather glove. Used with a proper sport jacket, it offers way more than enough protection. Lots of Kevlar. I tried the 2004 versions of the SP-1 and didn't like them at all. The protection was definitely there, but it was just way too uncomfortable to wear. The Kevlar on the fingers dug into my skin. I heard the 2005 model SP-1 is a lot nicer now. I'll probably try them this weekend.

I really don't like how those types offer no wrist protection
