Bad CDI?

:dunno: I think the CDI or I think it might be called the Ecm has gone bad on my scooter is there some way of testing it short of taking it to the dealer?

the bike will turn over, it's getting fire, fuel and o2 replaced the plugs checked the fuse. it ran fine one day and wouldn't run at all the nexti also tried pouring a dap of trans fluid on top of the pistons it ran for 15 or so seconds and died i haven't been able to fire it up since. i can also hear the valves opening and closing through the header while it is trying to crank.

Why would you pour trans fluid (basically oil) into the cylinder? That would cause the spark plugs to foul.
Common sense in not very common.

If it's worth your while to wade through 2 pages of back-and-forth troubleshooting, see the old Narrowing down the problems to a broken bike thread.

In one of the posts I linked to a couple of older threads that no longer exist.  Fortunately, I included the relevant parts of those threads in a later post.  Anyway, if you can make it to the bottom of the second page and fill out the checklist, that would be a great help in diagnosing your problem.
