Being that the strap locks under the seat of the GS aren't that secure, I understand that people use U or cable locks to secure the helmets to the bike.  My question is, to what part of the bike do you wrap a lock around and put your helmets?
I came here to kick @$$ or chew bubblegum...and it looks like I'm all out of bubblegum.

Um...I have a cable lock and string it throught the side bars, the ones under the plastic.

If I have too much stuff in the top-box I use the under-seat hooks. If I really want to lock it to the frame I would use the V above the footrests with helmet on the foot peg. Same place as I secure the bike to ground-bolt.

In Cricket the testicular guard, or Box, was introduced in 1874. The helmet was introduced in 1974. Is there a message??

i also use the V on the passenger peg to run the cable through and the visor hole in the helmet. then i hang the helmet on the peg! unless im riding.

I use a Kryptogrip lock occasionally.  Small light and handy..!!

Why not carry it with you?  I know people that use them as "bags" to carry stuff when they shop or whatever.

I've been riding for almost 3 years and have carried it the whole time.  I've heard bad things about leaving them attatched to your bike.  IE. gum in the helmet (from assholes that toss stuff in there) or rain, pick your poison.

Also carrying it with you will make you look "cool."    :thumb:

And if you need 2 hands for a few minutes and cant set down the hemlet just pop it on your head (not all the way down but like a hat,  It will stay better if it is on backwards. (again this adds to the "COOL" factor.)
