Waiting on the shipping company now.  Hopefully I don't get screwed over, since I have to get it shipped to me in Texas.

Looks like a pretty good example of an '89!  Low miles.

Get a grab bar, that rear piece that holds the side panels on, and GO!

Plus it is all white.  Clean canvas!

eh.. you paid too much.  I mean.. as a first bike it should be fine.. but that's worth maybe $800 or so..

it's been outside a lot... a whole lot...  uncovered.  You can tell from the faded gauges and the rusty bolts all over.

how the hell did he lose that plastic piece on the rear? where's the stickers?

Well it's definatly been repainted.  As far as i paid to much.  Try finding any gs for sale.  I've looked in message boards and cycletrader and that's the best i could find in my price range.  Several people here have said they were selling, but not a single one responded to any messages or email I sent.
This will not be my 1st bike.  I had a katana a few years ago, but had to get rid of it due to financial problems.  Now i just want something that is cheap and gets good gas milage.  And personally, I love the all white.  Very cool in my eye.

Sir Smapty, I think you did fine on the deal if the bike is running as good as it looks. Let's face it, the bike is sixteen years old and only has 4xxx miles. The White Owl is a white '89 and has 5xxx miles and appears and runs almost mint (she is such a sweet-heart) and I don't think I'd take less than 2 grand for her. Plus, you've got an '89...only year with clip-ons and I think the only year for white. I think the '89 is by far the prettiest (yes I'm biased) and that chin spoiler looks killer on there. There's a couple pics in the GStwin photo album that shows an '89 with a chin spoiler and a small bubble fairing that is simply gorgeous. Congrats and welcome. Now give that little screamin' G a hug when she arrives and...you'll love this forum.

Hey thanks.  I've been looking at some type of fairing or headlight set up as it will be riden roughly 20 miles each way to work.
I've already picked up a new grab bar or whatever that missing piece is, and have all the riding gear i need.  I'm soo stoked.  I love my T/A that i currently drive, but I want to get back on a bike sooo bad.

Congratulations!  I just bought my first GS about a week ago.  It's a '92 with 14,xxx miles and runs perfect.  In the week of owning it, I have put over a hundred miles on it already,  would be alot more but I live in PA and it's cold and been snowing off and on.   Anyway,  :thumb: congratulations!!

Missing rear grab bar, rear fender reflector, and the rubber strip that goes around the gas tank.  Possibly also missing the round aluminum Suzuki decal on the left side engine cover as well.  Looks like a nice bike for an 89 overall.  The chin spoiler is $200 right there.  I always wanted a chin spoiler.  ;)  There seems to be a bracket under the headlight--looks like it once might have had a front spoiler as well?  The speedometer housing (left) also looks funny--cracked?

Cheers and welcome to the board.  You will love the bike and the board.  Guaranteed.

Animal, go out and give that wonderful bike a pat on the butt...(they love it you know), and remember, this forum is your greatest ally against things like "Goat's Syndrome" and other nasty things that can befall that Baby GS. Love that bike and this forum.

Why do you think it was painted ... looks like decals were peeled off and that's it ... Anyway ... I am partial to that white myself ... but prettiest IMHO color is that deep blue they had in 96 or 97 ... ugliest ... close match between that teal in 91 and the purple in 94 ... White 89 is just too ... Plain Jane ... no offence to Jane's anywhere ...
BTW 04 yellow came wiht yellow tail, but blue 04 came with white tail, of course blue 01 and 02 came with blue tail ... making for a whole stipid series of mismatched bikes ... Suzuki is nuts ... they re designed the tail light carrier in 01 making for a 01+ tail light that looks uglier on the 01+ frame than on an 89-00 frame ...
Cool.
