are you talking about the lock or the gas cap?

The Kat ignition will plug into the GS harness and from I have been able to tell is that most every Suzuki sport bike gas caps are compatible.

I'm basically trying to expand my options for replacing my lost keys.  Locksmith wants $60 to cut a new one.

My current gas cap is kinda stiff and my seat lock is busted.  If I could replace all 3 it would be cool

isnt' there a way of getting the vin number of some sort and get the key number from suzuki?

OK tank cap and ignition will work with minor mods ... cap especially ... you'll need to swap the rivet pins ... the GS tank has a little button like bulge where the longest rivet pin it on a Kat cap If I remember ... but 2 min deal to swap.
Ignition is a direct fit and will plug in, but I believe (not totally sure) its top part is about 1/8th of an inch low ... as in the lock will be 1/8 inch sunk instead of being level with dash and triple ... but no other issues ... The seat lock will not fit from a Kat, you'll need a TL seat lock ... but I believe you dont have that anyway ... so you're cool ...
