Well this Thursday and Friday its supposed to hit low 80's here in the Valley. I was just wondering what you all do for summer gear. My sister's BF is an advocate of tshirt and jeans w/ helmet for around town (doesnt sound that bad, as I dont duck around in town anyways). And mesh pants (over shorts) and mesh jacket for out of town, twisties what have you. Does anyone have any experienec with the light weight breathable jackets/pants? What do you plan to mob during the summer?

I still have a brand new set of perforated leathers hangin' in my closet. TourMaster Cortech Coaster Air jacket and Apex Air pants.

To work will be the jacket, but I'm still gonna wear my Fieldsheer Carbolex overpants (but with full length jeans underneath). Here's why:

I wish I had your problem.  I have to worry about wearing something to protect at 25 degrees F right now!  But, in the summer I wear jeans, t-shirt and Joe Rocket  textile jacket.

What was the speed you went down at Scratch? I think i may take my chances with just the over pants and shorts, its gets upwards of 105-110 in the summer in the valley :(.

Your sister's BF needs to get some brains, even going 5 km's an hour will strip your skin off wear full gear all the time to reduce medical bills and recovery time...but it is your body do what you want.

I agree, full gear all the time. I went down on Thanksgiving between 50-60MPH. Thank goodness for my gear.

Not a rant, just been there. I wear a rocktex Joe Rocket Corona in the summer. Here in AR it can reach those temps to with humidity. I would just rather be safe that sorry.

I liked my firstgear meshtex jacket and HT air overpants. As long as I was moving, I didn't get hot.

Now I have a leather jacket, and no new pants yet, but I'm thinking that I will get something similar. We'll see if I die this summer

And I'll continue to wear my boots, gloves and helmet.
