woohoo...i just received mine!...

but there are so much rust on it...what paint should i use to cover the midpipe with?

just ANY high temp paint will work?
wileyco, K&N pod, rejet 22.5/65/147.5, F16 flyscreen, progressive springs, 15t front sprocket...more to come: katana shock

Yea BBQ or other 1200 degree+ paint. Sorry about rust ... They were sitting for a long time ... BTW pipe is SS so that thick flange is all that will rust ... so no chance of blowing a hole through 1/4 inch steel even if you leave it bare ... Maybe in 20 years ...
Cool.

my headers are a bit rusted...but it's winter here and dont' really wanna paint it now...

will i be able to pull off the midpipe after installing it?...is it really tight?

or should i sand down that part and paint it to reduce rusting in that area

OK I installed and pulled it off on mine when fitting and welding ... so yes ... not I al also very very good at putting in the right amount of force ... enough to get it off and not enough to break anyhting ... Key is ... cut the headers and clean them well ... sand the outside and remove the burrs ... then spray wd40 etc and slide on ... if it binds check if there is a reason ... and smooth it out and try again ... easy on = easy off ... you hit it with a hammer to get it on ... you'll need a come along and a torch to get it off ...
Cool.

I know I know I pick up their envelopes and turn them inside out or cut them in 1/2 and send stuff etc ... Ok so we are even ... You are fine.

a bit off topic, but does anyone have pics of the wileyco/flange install?  i've read srinath's directions about thirty times over, but i'm still a bit confused .  just about the part where you cut the header into a c shape...anyways, i'm hoping to do it this weekend and getting pretty psyched up about it.
he is able who thinks he is able.

Frost

ya...that's the part i dont' understand too...

what does it mean to cut into a C shape...

Where did you find that instructions ... old very old ... Now just hack off the pipe 2-3 inches off the weld where the 2 headers join ... OK a 01 and later ... hack it right at the flare part, it fits on the smaller part, not larger part ... then clean with sand paper, and wd 40 and slip on gently ... no hammer in ... cos then you'll never get it off ...
Cool.
