I was just wondering what bikes did you race, and did you win or lose? I have 04 F, I raced my freinds FZ6 and he beat me in the long run, but I sayed with him below 100 mph.

Daniely

I raced a YZF 6r on my 99 CBR 600 F4. I was told I beat him by 3 or 4 bike lengths. I didnt look back to check...topped out at around 145 give or take.

No, that was directed to Rich. 600cc I4 vs. 600cc I4 I'll buy. But, 600cc I4 vs. 500cc twin?     We can't even keep pace w/ other twins (EX500), no less bikes w/ twice the HP.

That said... maybe this guy weighed 600lbs, or his clutch was shot, or his tires were flat, or....

The only people I want to be able to beat are the jackasses with honda civics with a ginormous exhaust tip and think they are the shite.  I know I won't be able to beat pretty much any sportbike, other than my friend's ninja 250r (if you wanna call that a sportbike  )

Remember, with the Baby G you can accelerate at wot and not have to worry about the bike spitting out from under you or smoking the rear tire. If you have a high HP bike with a rider who doesn't know how to control it properly then, yeh, the Baby G can run with a higher power bike. I ran my brother and beat him up to about 65 (speed limit) because he jerked the front off the ground and backed off to let it back down...by then I was already several bike lengths ahead. It can take a second or so to get a bike straightened back out when it gets squirrely on you. Oh, he has a '78 KZ1000...not exactly a slow bike. Love the little twin and the forum.

hehe, speaking of to much power.

I dragged my buddy in his 68 camero, HELLA hopped up car, beautiful too. Anyways, we get on the line and I said he could have a head start. he then begins to power break and take off. I am revvin up and start slippin the clutch and it catches. I take off in a full fledged wheelie (fully tucked with my legs dragging to keep it straight in a wheelie (accidental wheelie)). So picture this, a beautiful 68 camero roastin em down the street with a sport bike pullin a wheelie next to him while dragging. He topped out at some god awful speed, and i kept up with him (never left 3rd gear :) :) :) ). Only two times I have ever raced have just been discussed here, ya happy? lol. I just REALLY wish I could have seen that from the front :(.

If you want to beat someone on the GS you just need to take them through the twistys, I did this last year and smoked my friend on his R6, but maybe Im just crazy and dont let off, but man was I haulin around those curves. :dunno:

john

In defense I have seen some people on some seriously fast bikes that had no idea how to shift quickly and/or were afraid to really rev up up their bikes.  This made them the slowest people on a fast bike I ever saw.

So it's possible that if you drag one of these people you can actually keep up with them.

So while this guy was possibly clunking slowly through the gears, he could be clicking through the gears on his GS and making a good show of it.
