Well.....aparently this experiment has run it's course.....after much discussion with my wife, Heather, she has decided that riding is just not for her......we bought the GS as an inexpensive bike in the event this day came, and now it has.....

.....firstly.....the reasons why.....
1.  She's quite petite.....at 5'2" tall and barely 100 lbs, she did not feel she could adequately control the bike.
2.  She works for the medical examiners office and has seen enough motorcycle fatalities to last her a life time.
3.  Simply out riding is not her passion.  It's not for everybody, and it's not for her.

.....next, the good things.....
1.  If I sell the GS, I can buy some things for my SV....a big plus!!!
2.  She learned to ride.  That was the only thing I wanted, was that in the event she should need to use a bike, she could.  Knowledge is power, and the more you know....yadda-yadda-yadda.
3.  If I sell the GS, I can buy some things for my SV....a big plus!!!
4.  No more worrying about her, or for her.  She seemed to enjoy riding, but she was also somewhat timid.
5.  She's not afraid to get on the back of my bike now. (of course this means I've got to put the pegs and seat back on....DAMN.)

so.....I'll be listing her on ebay this weekend.....(and by her I mean the bike, not my wife - hehehehehe).......I'll have some accessories to sell, but I'm going to offer them to the buyer of the bike first.....then whatever I've got left I'll post here....so "So long....and thanx for all the fish".....

SHAUN: It's Saturday!

PETE: No, it's not. It's funking Sunday. And I've got to go to funking work in four funking hours 'cos every other funker in my funking department is funking ill! Now can you see why I'm SO FUNKING ANGRY?

ED: Funk, yeah!

Well that's no fun, I guess it really isn't for everyone... But. If you're interested in getting rid of that screen before it goes on eBay, I'd love to take it off your hands for you  :thumb:

At least she tried it. Kudos to her (and you, for encouraging her) for being open minded enough to give it a whirl. You ventured forth and lost nothing.

JCH, did you by any chance get an award for designing the fjords ?

No, but I did have the rather displeasurable experience of playing scrabble with some ape-men.   Only thing they could spell was F-O-R-T-Y-T-W-O

Of course the question was "What is 6 times 9"  Which Does equal 42 if you use base 13 instead of base 10.

What can I say, it was my favorite series of books as a kid and I was a geek even then.

Didn't you buy that GS from Dianely?  The one who cracked his transmission case on his new bike, and said that he wants to buy a GS again?

Mastrind...sorry for the news but i'm glad your not selling your wife on Ebay...but if you do make sure to set a reserve otherwise you won't get what she's worth.  Anyhow,,,like you said you can now load up your SV with all sorts of goodies :thumb:  :thumb:  :thumb:

Enjoy and best of luck.

Conan:  thank you for posing the question.....

rema:  yes.....yes and no.....I did buy it from Danny.....he did think for a minute that he wanted a GS again.....then he decided that the damage wasn't so bad....either way....I'm not driving out there any time soon....

jugg:  although I'm not currently listing my wife on ebay.....I do taunt her with the idea occasionally....yes I will set her reserve high *Don't Panic*......considerations for possible purchase:

    5.  PCIII usb
