I see some hard luggage on the GS in the future ... I need to what racks and top bags and side hard bags would you reccomend? GS jack what setup do you have?

I love the Givi line of cases.  They had a booth at the motorcycle show in NYC and they also had some really cool tank bags and windscreens.  At the Givi site you can look up stuff by bike model and they have something for the GS500 F. right back to cases for the '93 GS500

So many of the Givi mounts put the bag up much higher than I like so I got the standard Suzuki rack and a Givi 33 liter Monolock Bag that came with a mounting plate that clamped to the Suzi rack.  Real neat, but the bag started bouncing a bit and I discovered it was cracking the frame crossmember where the rack mounted so I added some aluminum angle braces and it's been solid as a rock since.

Kerry got the 5 Star rack to carry the hard side bags and I think a top case too.  There are also Krauser racks at Twisted Throttle.  You can find them here:

With the 33 liter trunk and a JR tankbag I could carry all I needed for a week long trip last year.  Hardest rain I ever rode in down on the BRP and the Givi never leaked a drop.
