Could use some help or advice on shipping a bike from anyone that has some knowledge on the subject because I have none!  I'm looking for a way to possibly get  a bike from KY to KS.  Right now the websites I've checked out it looks like it's going to cost around 600.00.  Which I would hate to have to spend.  It's around 600 miles so I'm looking a dollar a mile!  If anyone has a website or information that could possibly get this number down I would appreciate it!

....rent a truck....grab a couple of friends....and make a weekend trip out of it.....
PETE: It's four in the funking morning!

SHAUN: It's Saturday!

PETE: No, it's not. It's funking Sunday. And I've got to go to funking work in four funking hours 'cos every other funker in my funking department is funking ill! Now can you see why I'm SO FUNKING ANGRY?

ED: Funk, yeah!

hmmm.....well that puts a crimp in your plans doesn't it.....when are you coming home??.....

....you could always just have some family/friends do what I recommended for you.....give em a guilt trip too...."I'm over here defending and protecting the fate of the free world, and you won't even go out of your way for a few hours for me?!?!"

although this plan may not save you that much $$.....1200 miles at 15 mpg = 80 gallons of fuel x $2.15 per gal = $172 + food and lodging could end up costing $300+ easily....

so sorry I'm not much help.....anyways....be safe over there.....C.Y.A. (....not see-ya.....)

Where to in Kansas? It looks like it would be around $400 to Kansas City by Forward Air. If that isn't too far you could get someone to pick it up from there and drive it home.
