Felt like bike jumped out of gear

hey guys and girls, whats going on??? I just took my bike out for a ride today and going in 4th year going like 100 kms, the bike jumped out of year or felt like it slipped on the sprockets and then grabbed again?? Do you guys no why this is??? Thanks


Another Question I just got a Used Battery that was never really used and in great condition and kept in a good place, the bike is killing it, thats 2 battery's now anyone no why this is happening? Thanks

Are you checking the fluid levels in the battery?

How long are you running the bike after starting it? Putting energy back into the battery takes much longer than taking it out. If you are running with lights while riding, expect even more time to recover.

Do you have a stand alone charger to put the battery on while the bike is idle for a while?

The charge circuit on the GS is fairly simple. Check the integrity of all the connections to the battery and make sure the generator windings are connected to the Regulator/Rectifier (RR) assembly. Check also the connection from the battery to the chassis. A poor return (ground, negative side of the battery) can also show up as a poorly charging battery.

Those are good starting places. Let us know.
