Well, if you have a chain with no master link then you will have to remove the swing-arm. If you have a chain without master link then you can leave the swinf-arm in place and just cut the old chain off. The process will basically entail removing the rear wheel so as to replace the rear sprocket and removing the left-side cover so you can remove the front sprocket. The rear sprocket is fastened with bolts and the front sprocket is held in place with a snap ring. I've never had to do any of this on the Baby GS but I've done it on a lot of other bikes and it was not much of a problem at all with them. Hang in there and I'm sure someone here will give you some detailed instructions on the whole process. You can try searching the FAQ's or old threads to see if maybe someone has posted this before, but I know that someone will help you. This forum is different from a lot of other forums in that you won't be flamed just for asking a question. Welcome to the forum Rodrigo and remember to love that little Baby GS and cherish this forum.  :)

thank you, the chain has a master link so there's no problem. I was a little worry about the left cover. I don't know if I have to put off the clucht cable but I think I'm gonna be allright.

Thank you a lot for the receivement.

I believe you will have to remove the clutch cable at the lever on the handle-bar but not from the cover itself. Also, check to make sure the sprocket you get matches up with your old one. Some have a shoulder on one side of the sprocket and some don't. I believe the shoulder should face in toward the engine. While you're at it you can also check the clutch push-rod oil seal to see if it is leaking and replace it if it is. Good luck and happy wrenching. Lovin' the little twin and this forum.

you shouldn't need to unhook the clutch cable at all.  unbolt that rear cover... that covers the front sprocket.

then, if the chain is a non-master link style then cut it.. hell use bolt cutters if you have to.

take your new chain, and cut it to same # of links as the old chain.  The front sprocket removal is easy.. you'll see how to do it once you get the cover off.  The rear is a bit more difficult.  Remove the wheel (unbolt axle and slide it out) be careful not to hit the rear brake when the wheel is off.. then unbolt the old sprocket and bolt the new one on (dont forget to use loc-tite)

put the rear wheel back on, thread the chain over the new sprockets, attach the masterlink, then adjust the wheel to ensure proper chain tension.

voila

Thanks a lot Cheesy. I suppossed it was easy, today's afternoon or tomorrow I'm going to change them. One more thing, when you say Loc-tite you refer to that liquid that helps to the bolts tighteness, aren't you? I'm from Argentina, that's why some languages problems.
In other topic are you saying if I make holes in my exhaust I'll lose power? That's a bad new, the aftermarket parts are too expensive here because of our current change  :(

Thank you again

not lose power... well.. it's possible..  you certainly won't gain power though.

yes loc-tite is stuff that put on the bolt threads so it doesn't rattle loose

Ok, I only want a better noise now, but not less power, that's why the question. Another thingthe end of my exhaust Iwould say is a kind of cover. I saw in other topic a draw and a photo of how to make holes and they didn't have this ending. Their were... how to say.... plane, rigth, I mean not curve...ehh... as a table, don't know if you can understand me.
I think i could cut thath ending off and then make the holes.
