Anybody ever owned a GSX1100G? I'm tempted by one that is for sale nearby and need to be talked out of buying it!

Is that the mid-'80's Katana 1100?

The Katana would be the F designation. The G is a naked shaft-drive standard, liken to the VX800, except the GSXR1100 air/oil-cooled motor.

The F is an animal then.  Don't know about the G.   Sorry for seeming like I have a clue for a second there.

I don't know much about it but... It sure looks fun..

Woohoo! Low miles and a sissy bar (backrest)! The faded part still looks like it has the clearcoat intact! Nothing like a shaftie to teach you to stay on the throttle through a turn.
