I installed a Plexistar 2 windshield this evening, and then took a ride around to see what had changed in terms of wind flows.

I enjoyed the break from 70 mph wind attacking the entire upper torso, but it seemed that the shield concentrated the wind at my head - loud and bumpy.

Any ideas on ways to tune around this?  This is my first time with a shield...guess I've only got a feel for naked...

Had a bad head buffeting problem with a shorter Spitfire shield.  Couldn't raise it any further so I lowered so the line of turbulance hit about neck level.  With a full face helmet this was not bothersome.  You need to raise or lower the shield a bit to get the line of tubulance higher or lower.

Sometimes changing the angle of the shield can help.  Gotta play with it a bit to get it right for you.  Start with the shield at about the same angle as the forks and go from there.

I've got Plexi 2 shields on both GSs now with no turbulance problems.  Neither is the one made for the GS, one was bought for my CM400A and the other was bought for my CB650SC.  The tops of both fall about chin high and the line of turbulance goes right over my head.  Ideal place for the top of a Plexi 2 type shield is just below eye level so you can see over it and the turbulance goes over your head..

Thanks for the correspondence on this, I am tinkering with the height and angle to see if I can beat the turbulence problem and have seem some improvement.  I am tall and do sit upright, so there's a lot of ground to cover in fixing this issue.  I expect to stay at it until I get it licked.  Thanks again.

I too have a spitfire, jiggling the angle is the way to start. Start with it parralell with the forks as the manufacturer suggests and then "inch" it either way to find most comfortable point.
