Can anyone tell me the max diameter that I need to stay within for the spacer material?  The How-to says to use a 31mm diameter nylon round bar stock, but that is proving difficult to find.  So, what fits?

1/2" Schedule 80 PVC pipe. Cut it about an inch or so long... that's what I'm using.
