Mens/womans brains different - I'm vindicated!

OK, my Scientific American magazine came today.

There is an article about the differences between mens and womans brains.  Both physically and how they operate.  Talks about how they deal with stress differently, how men are hunters and spacial, how women are nurturers and better at language, how they learn differently.  How doctors should take sex into account when treating mental disorders.  Very interesting stuff.

It also mentions how the brain developes with shots of hormones at critical times (exactly what goes wrong to create a "ghey" brain) causing the differences in the sexes brains.

It mirrors what I was saying in my men vs women posts almost as if they wrote it for me to pass on to you.

If you actually want to learn something and not blindly believe the dogma that passes for "common knowledge" that the sexes are exactly equal in their abilities, go get the magazine and become informed.

As I said earlier, neither is "better" just different in their own areas.

Hmmm, maybe the guys on the forum who seem to have really good spelling, grammar and articulation skills received to many female hormones when growing up. Hmmmm, and there is this strange pleasure of loving to straddle a large vibrating machine. HMMMM. Love to straddle that Baby GS500 and I'm lovin' this forum Jerry.

THREAD JACK: hey Cernunos, I saw you sig line and was wondering... I had a bowling ball once does that count?

Michael

The problem with the "men and women are different" line is that it has been used by various interest groups to justify the line "men and women are not equal".  If you were to take a whole bunch of men you would find they all had different abilities as well.  Does that mean they are not equal?  In the ability to bench press 500lb, yes it does.  In the ability to carry out a task that requires a particular talent, yes it does.  Does that make them more or less valuable?  That depends on your underlying philosphy.  A good Darwinist, in order to remain consistent, would have to say the less capable are less valuable.  Christianity teaches that everyone is of equal value even though all are not equal in ability.
And I personally take everything I read in SA with a grain of salt.  They are not known for their objectivity, despite calling themselves Scientific.

Davipu...was it a V-Twin bowling ball? Love the Baby GS and this crazy forum.

ehh, ok just for you though, it was a AMF bowling ball, it was green and shinny.  but what if I don't feel the enthusiam that capitalization brings with it?  to me; and this is just my opionion, a HD is "just another f%$king harley"  and if I wanted to ride 1920's technology I'd buy a john deere.

I live in a small suburban town of 8000 or so, every weekend day, 3-400 bikes with loud obnoxius pipes go past my house.  all white coller yuppie scum who want to be cool.  the kind of people who won't even change thier own oil.   :x  with thier stupid dot leagel half helmets and leather vests.  (wtf is the point?)  pouser-ass bitches I have very little respect left for the local HD riders.

dav, you forgot the part about how every HD owner feels compelled to sport a OCC Pauly Sr. style handlebar moustache, even the ladies.
It's a dorky fad.

When I visited dav I stopped at the grocery store and saw a father and son doing some shopping.  The father had adopted the typical HD OCC Pauly Sr. look and the son looked like Eminem.  Seems that they both found their respective looks to buy into.  Hurray!

davipu

and the worst part was that he stoped at the store and didn't buy beer

cernunos

Yeh, it's true...and now that I've got a kinda, sorta sportbike I get these urges to go out and buy these ghey looking little leather boots and pants with rainbow colors and pretend I'm Matt Mladdin. Love the Baby GS and the forum.

Gotta admit though, some of the stuff Joerocker asks can make you sit back and think...might not agree but I still think. Love the little twin and the holy forum.
