I am.. and my bike will be here next week (either the 2nd or 3rd of July).  I'm looking for people/groups to ride with, see the good riding places, meet some local riders, meet/greet/eat/hit-the-seat kind of thing... anybody?

i'm north of downtown, up in the utc-la jolla area, right off the 5 by the big mormon temple.  with the sun finally back out lately, i just did a 2hr loop today, going north to escondido, east on 78 out to ramona.  this is a fun 10-15 mile ride, with some serious twisties.  reminds me alot of the nurburgring, for some reason...alot of trucks though, and i got caught in an suv-parade on the return trip for about five frustrating miles.

coast highway is a fun trip, and i took that south from oceanside.  beautiful weather, surfers, girls in bikini tops & shorts jogging, etc.  all my friends back in CT are driving past small cornfields right now...suckers.

as far as a group ride, i'm up for it.  i've never done it, but let's go.  i do nightclub/bar promos, so my workweek is more of a wed thru saturday nights.  but i'll definitely show up whenever i can.  OC sounds cool, a bit shorter trip than the highly-touted LA canyon rides.
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 muscles to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

I used to run Ortega and GMR with a few buddies about a year ago.. since then, GMR has been closed, and the area's "hot" with cops.

P.S.  Orange County representin'.

I'm gonna be down there around Mesa/City college area, attending whichever is closer to wherever I can find a room to rent prior to the new fall term coming up.

Gonna be on either an old vintage bike of some sort, a Yamaha motard or a GS and definitely up for group rides.
